IPC707 signal conditioner
- Signal conditioning for CA accelerometers and CP dynamic pressure sensors.
- Vibration or dynamic pressure measurement for machinery protection and/or advanced condition monitoring.
- Very wide frequency range (0.5 to 20000 Hz), with configurable high-pass and low-pass filters, independent of transfer function.
- Configurable transfer function (sensitivity and units), with optional integrator to provide a velocity output.
- Current output for long-distance signal transmission or voltage output for medium-distance signal transmission.
- Certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (Ex) and/or safety-related applications (SIL).
Description
The IPC707 signal conditioner (charge converter) is designed for operation with vibro-meter piezoelectric sensors, notably CA accelerometers and CP dynamic pressure sensors.
Note: The IPC707 is compatible with different piezoelectric materials and replaces all previous versions of the IPC704 signal conditioner (PNR 244-704-000-xxx).
The IPC707 is a highly-configurable and versatile device that converts and processes the charge-based signal from a piezoelectric-based sensor into a current or voltage output signal suitable for transmission to the monitoring system. For example, it is factory-configurable for transfer function with/without optional integration, sensitivity, high-pass and low-pass filtering, and optional diagnostic circuitry (with variants defined by ordering option code).
The IPC707 is designed and built for long-term use, and is available in standard versions and in Ex versions certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (hazardous areas). Similarly, it is also available with or without diagnostics: versions with diagnostics automatically and remotely indicate the health/status of the measurement chain so you always know when measurements can be trusted. The diagnostics (SIL 2 “by design”) bring enhanced reliability and significant risk reduction, making the IPC707 suitable for use in safety-related applications (functional safety contexts).
